Elsevier Health in Mexico City is seeking a Systems Engineer III to lead complex cloud infrastructure and automation initiatives, owning technical delivery and reliability across shared platform services.

You will partner with engineering, security, product, and FinOps to define standards, improve platform resilience, and mentor more junior engineers while balancing speed and quality in a hybrid work model.

Qualifications

• Experience in cloud infrastructure, automation, or DevOps roles.
• Hands-on with cloud platforms (AWS).
• Proficiency in scripting with Python or Go.
• Kubernetes experience with Helm/ArgoCD.
• Strong incident troubleshooting and service reliability mindset.

Responsabilités

• Lead delivery of complex cloud infrastructure deployment, modernization, and troubleshooting initiatives (preferably on AWS).
• Design and implement advanced automation workflows to improve reliability, scalability, and operational efficiency.
• Drive implementation decisions for resilient architecture patterns in collaboration with senior peers.
• Own technical execution plans for medium‑to‑high complexity initiatives and critical changes.
• Lead root‑cause analysis for recurring incidents and implement preventive actions.
• Mentor Systems Engineer I/II team members through technical guidance and review practices.
• Partner with architecture, security, product, and FinOps stakeholders to align platform solutions with standards and business needs.
• Improve operational practices, observability, and documentation quality for critical services.
