Bluelight Consulting seeks a Senior Software Architect to lead end-to-end system design for global clients and to drive high-impact projects that push our technical boundaries.

You will craft low-latency, secure, multi-tenant architectures in AWS, mentor engineering teams, defend decisions in reviews, and produce ADRs and architecture diagrams, with occasional overlap into US business hours. 8+ years exp and a Bachelor's degree are required.

Formación

• 8+ years professional software development experience, with 3+ years in an architecture-focused role.
• Deep experience designing low-latency service architectures in AWS, including judgment about when distributed components earn their place.
• Experience designing to explicit latency budgets (p95/p99).
• Experience designing audit/evidence systems: append-only event logs, versioned/bitemporal models, deterministic replay.
• Experience designing fail-open/fail-closed/degraded-state semantics and outage postures.
• Proven experience architecting secure multi-tenant environments.
• Deep experience with PostgreSQL/AuroraDB and Row-Level Security (RLS).
• Expertise in designing and building scalable RESTful APIs.
• Experience architecting SDK integrations to other services.
• Strong expertise in Node.js, TypeScript, and JavaScript.
• Experience building capacity models and cloud cost/performance projections (AWS Well-Architected).
• Experience establishing technical standards, architecture reviews, and mentoring teams.
• Experience producing architecture documentation, diagrams, ADRs.
• Experience presenting architecture decisions in client reviews.
• Experience working with AI coding assistants.
• Background architecting large, complex systems end-to-end.
• Ability to overlap US business hours.
• Bachelor's degree required.

Responsabilidades

• Design low-latency service architectures in AWS and decide when distributed components are needed.
• Architect secure multi-tenant environments and perform trade-off analyses.
• Mentor engineering teams and lead architecture reviews and ADRs.
• Produce architecture diagrams, documentation, and decision records (ADRs).
• Present and defend architecture decisions in client engineering and security reviews.
• Collaborate with AI coding assistants as part of daily development.
• Lead end-to-end design of large, complex systems.
