ICON plc is seeking a Principal Clinical Data Science Programmer to lead design, development, and implementation of data programming solutions for clinical trials. You will oversee data science workstreams, collaborate with data managers and biostatisticians, and mentor junior programmers in a fast-paced, cross-functional environment.

The role requires 10+ years in EDC programming, strong SAS/SQL/R skills, and advanced English.

Formación

• 10+ years of experience programming for EDC systems (Rave) in clinical trials.
• Data Analytics experience (SAS, SQL, R, etc.).
• Prior experience leading, training, and mentoring junior programmers.
• Proficiency in SAS, R, and/or Python.
• Strong problem-solving and collaboration in a fast-paced environment.
• Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Advanced English communication, writing and reading skills.
• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, statistics, life sciences, or related field.

Responsabilidades

• Develop, validate, and maintain programming solutions for CDMS (Rave/Veeva) and outputs.
• Develop and maintain programs for handling external vendor data.
• Perform data extracts from CDMS and create transfer programs.
• Collaborate with data managers, project managers, and biostatisticians to integrate solutions.
• Serve as primary contact during study setup and maintenance for programming questions.
• Mentor and provide guidance to other programmers.
