Job summary

Bazz Houston (BHI) in Mexico is seeking a seasoned procurement professional to oversee purchasing activities, manage supplier relationships, ensure material availability, and negotiate pricing, lead times and terms. This role drives cost-reduction initiatives and tracks supplier performance across quality, delivery, cost, and service.

The ideal candidate has a bachelor’s degree in business, engineering, economics or supply chain management, at least 5 years in procurement, strong English

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in business, engineering, economics, or supply chain management.
• Minimum 5 years of procurement experience.
• Proficient English communication with internal/external stakeholders.
• Customer service oriented.
• Familiarity with MRP/ROP/Min-Max/Kanban.
• APICS certification desirable.

Responsibilities

• Oversee purchasing activities and manage strategic supplier relationships.
• Ensure material availability in line with MRP requirements.
• Negotiate pricing, lead times, payment terms, and other commercial conditions.
• Develop and implement cost-reduction initiatives.
• Track supplier performance across quality, delivery, cost, and service.
• Address material shortages and coordinate supplier recovery plans.
• Support inventory optimization initiatives.
• Identify and develop alternative suppliers to reduce supply-chain risk.
