A leading global technology company is seeking a Product Manager to lead product management ideas and activities. The individual will manage product development phases including research, design, financing, and marketing. Strong analytical skills and an 8+ year background in product management are essential. The candidate should have a degree in Computer Science, Business, or a related field, and possess project management certifications. The role requires effective communication with various stakeholders and identification of new business opportunities.

Formación

  • At least 8 years of experience in product management or similar roles.
  • Working towards or graduated with a postgraduate degree in a related discipline.
  • Project Management or other related Certification is a special qualification.

Responsabilidades

  • Participates on project/program teams from design to delivery of fully developed products.
  • Monitors performance and reviews schedule changes, cost adjustments, or resource additions.
  • Investigates facts and reviews problems during the design and planning phases.
  • Provides timely and accurate information and status updates to functional leaders.
  • May be responsible for feasibility studies and field trials management.
  • Reviews marketing strategies including product direction and pricing.
  • Interfaces with engineers, designers, suppliers, and customers to develop product requirements.
  • Prepares and coordinates product introductions and updates.
  • Identifies new business opportunities and creates appropriate business plans.
  • Identifies new market opportunities.

Overview

Leads across the organization Product Management ideas and activities. Participates in or leads the analytical, experimental, investigative, and testing efforts in support of new product development engineering. Coordinates all phases of new product development, including research and design, financing, pricing, marketing, sales and distribution. Develops overall marketing objectives and strategy and further product development. Works closely with customer base to identify key needs and appropriate product solutions. Acts as a funnel for product development ideas and knows how to influence key people in order to realize commercial opportunities. Performs analyses and prepares forecasts and recommendations in the areas of product preferences, sales coverage, market penetration, market practices and sales trends. Researches market conditions to determine potential sales of a product. Writes profitability analysis.

  • Reviews marketing strategies including product direction, advertising, packaging, pricing, expense budgets, profit plans and future product development to manage a product or product category's life cycle
  • Interfaces with engineers, designers, suppliers and customers to develop product requirements and specifications.
  • Prepares and coordinates product introductions and updates.
  • Works closely with customer base to identify key needs and appropriate product solutions.
  • Identifies new business opportunities and creates appropriate business plans.
  • Identifies new market opportunities (i.e., products/services, technologies, markets).
Qualifications
  • Education Required: Degree qualified in Computer Science, Business/Finance or related discipline, or equivalent work experience. Is working towards or has graduated with a post graduate degree in a related discipline.
  • Experience Required: At least 8 years
  • Special Qualifications: Project Management or other related Certification
