KTSA – KPMG Technology Services Americas in Mexico City is seeking a qualified accountant to lead the financial close and AP processes within a hybrid work model. The role emphasizes accuracy, compliance with Mexican regulations, and collaboration with headquarters to deliver executive-level reporting.

The ideal candidate has a Bachelor's in Accounting/Finance and at least five years of full-cycle accounting experience in multinational settings, with strong English communication and Excel

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• 5 years of full-cycle accounting experience in multinational/global organizations.
• Advanced English proficiency with strong verbal and written communication skills.

Responsabilidades

• Perform full accounting cycle and ensure compliance with Financial Reporting Standards.
• Close monthly and annual books within established deadlines.
• Prepare financial statements: Balance Sheet, Income Statement, Cash Flow.
• Manage and record vendor invoices; prepare weekly payment proposals.
• Identify automation opportunities using AI to reduce manual processing time.

Hybrid model in Mexico City

Ensure the accurate, timely, and reliable recording of the company's financial transactions, guaranteeing compliance with applicable tax obligations while efficiently managing the accounts payable cycle. The ideal candidate should possess advanced Excel skills and experience using Artificial Intelligence tools for process automation and operational efficiency.

Responsibilities

General Accounting

• Perform the complete accounting cycle, ensuring accounting records comply with applicable Financial Reporting Standards.
• Execute monthly and annual accounting close processes within established deadlines.
• Prepare and analyze financial statements, including:
• Balance Sheet
• Income Statement
• Cash Flow Statement
• Perform bank reconciliations, account analyses, and coordinate internal and external audits.

Accounts Payable

• Manage and record vendor invoices.
• Prepare weekly payment proposals, ensuring compliance with treasury policies and credit terms.
• Monitor and record employee travel expense and per diem reimbursements.

Innovation and Operational Efficiency

• Identify automation opportunities within accounts payable, account reconciliations, and monthly reporting processes.
• Implement and promote the use of Artificial Intelligence tools and emerging technologies to reduce manual processing time and improve data analysis accuracy.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• 5 years of experience in full-cycle accounting positions, preferably within multinational or global organizations.
• Advanced English proficiency with strong verbal and written communication skills to interact regularly with headquarters and prepare executive-level reports in English.

Technical Skills & Knowledge

• Strong knowledge of Mexican accounting principles and financial regulations.
• Solid understanding of general accounting practices and current tax regulations.
• Proven experience managing the full Accounts Payable (AP) cycle.
• Experience working with ERP systems such as SAP or similar platforms, including: Journal entries, invoice processing, payment proposals, reporting
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills: Logical formulas, pivot tables, data analysis
• Desirable experience using Generative AI tools such as ChatGPT, Gemini, or Microsoft Copilot.
