The British American Tobacco Group is seeking a Scientist, Validation Compliance to contribute to and execute validation processes for regulatory compliance initiatives across RAI Operating Companies. The role manages change control activities for validations through cross‑functional collaboration, ensuring procedures are followed.

Formación

  • Bachelor’s degree in Science with relevant experience.
  • Experience with scripted testing, qualification, verification and/or validation preferred.
  • Experience managing or executing validation activities preferred.
  • Strong organizational and problem‑solving skills with high attention to detail.
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication and leadership skills for cross‑functional work.
  • Proficient in MS Excel, Word and PowerPoint; advanced English skills.

  • Manage and execute validation and change control activities, ensuring compliant procedures.
  • Develop and deliver presentations, communications, training material, and metrics for stakeholders.

  • Ensure cross‑functional collaboration and consultation for ongoing activities.
  • Contribute to staffing and workload distribution for validation tasks.
  • Manage and escalate validation‑related issues as needed.
  • Provide back‑room support with validation deliverables during inspections.

The Scientist, Validation Compliance contributes to and executes validation processes for regulatory compliance initiatives across RAI Operating Companies. The position manages change control activities for validations through cross‑functional collaboration, ensuring compliance with governing procedures. It participates in audits and provides back‑room support during regulatory inspections.

Responsibilities
  • Contribute to and execute validation strategy, framework, processes and process governance for FDA and other regulatory compliance initiatives across RAI operating companies.
  • Manage and execute validation and change control activities for validation projects, ensuring compliance with governing procedures.
  • Develop and deliver presentations, communications, training material, and metrics to stakeholders at all levels of the organization.
  • Participate in internal and external audits.
  • Ensure and engage in cross‑functional collaboration and consultation for existing, planned, and pending activities.
  • Contribute to staffing and workload distribution discussions for validation, change control, and related activities.
  • Manage and escalation validation‑related issues, as appropriate.
  • Serve as back‑room support resource, providing validation deliverables during regulatory inspections.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s of Science degree with relevant experience.
  • Experience with scripted testing, qualification, verification and/or validation is preferred.
  • Experience managing or executing validation activities is preferred.
  • Strong organizational and problem‑solving skills, with the ability to prioritize competing demands, manage multiple projects simultaneously, and maintain high attention to detail while adhering to established processes and protocols.
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication, and technical leadership skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across teams, understand complex system and regulatory interactions, and drive results in a cross‑functional environment.
  • Works proficiently in MS Excel, Word, PowerPoint.
  • Able to communicate with advanced level of English.
