Washington Elementary School District is seeking a part-time crossing guard to ensure the safety of students at crosswalks and school zones in Phoenix. You will direct pedestrians, alert traffic, and uphold district safety policies while wearing reflective gear and following procedures.

The role requires completion of the District Crossing Guard Training and an AZ IVP FPCC clearance. Prior crossing guard experience is preferred; 194-day calendar is noted with a non-exempt status.

Formación

• Requires completion of District Crossing Guard Training Program.
• Obtain and maintain AZ IVP Fingerprint Clearance Card (AZ IVP FPCC).
• High School diploma or GED preferred before hire.
• One year of crossing guard experience preferred.

Responsabilidades

• Directs and assists students and community members to cross at crosswalks and school zones.
• Alert motorists and stop traffic to allow crossing of students and community members.
• Maintain discipline and monitor student behavior per district policies.
• Wear reflective clothing and place signs according to the crosswalk operating agreement.
• Attend district and school meetings and participate in safety trainings.
