Job summary

KION Group IT is seeking a SAP Basis Administrator to join its Global SAP Basis team responsible for the administration of SAP Systems and related SaaS & PaaS services. The focus includes SAP NetWeaver ABAP/Java, SAP BTP, and SAP Cloud Services across North American SAP Systems.

This role supports the IT Services delivered by KION Group IT and contributes to the new IT Service Hub development in Monterrey, with opportunities to interface with an outsourcing partner and business stakeholders.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of hands‑on experience in SAP applications maintenance and projects with a focus on SAP Basis.
• Ideally experience in SAP BTP environment and operating cloud connectors.
• Ideally experience supporting an S/4HANA transformation project.

Responsibilities

• Cross-location and administration support of SAP landscapes with a focus on SAP Basis.
• Coordinate and control external service provider in the SAP area and interface to the application team.
• Administer all of KION's SAP Systems and support developers and the business.
• Perform daily system checks and monitor performance, deriving optimization measures.
• Provide incident support (2nd/3rd level) and implementation support for changes/releases.
• Support global SAP BT rollout waves, SAP upgrades, implementation, and introductions.

Job description

SAP Basis Administrator will be part of the SAP Basis (SAP Central Landscape & BT Infrastructure) Global Team responsible for the administration of SAP Systems and corresponding SaaS & PaaS Services in KION Group IT. The person will take responsibility for the administration of the SAP Basis systems in cooperation with our outsourcing partner.

Focus on the SAP Systems of BT Project including SAP BTP, SaaS & PaaS Services and North American SAP Systems, having a significant contribution to the IT Services delivered by KION Group IT, as well as the development of the newly created IT Service Hub in Monterrey.

Your Responsibility:

• Cross-location and administration support of the system landscapes with a focus on SAP Basis
• Coordinate and control the external service provider in the SAP area and form the interface to the application team
• Administration of all of KIONs SAP Systems and support of the application developers and the business
• Carry out daily system checks as well as performance monitoring and derive measures for optimization
• Provide incident support (2nd / 3rd level support) and implementation support of changes/release
• Support of global SAP BT rollout project waves, SAP upgrades, implementation, and introductions, possibly also as a technical sub-project manager

Your Skills and Expertise:

• 5+ years of hands‑on experience in SAP applications maintenance and projects with a focus on SAP Basis
• Ideally, experience in the SAP BTP environment and in operating cloud connectors
• Ideally, experience supporting an S/4HANA transformation project
• SAP Netweaver ABAP and Java
• SAP Netweaver Java MES work experience is an advantage
• SAP consulting background would be beneficial
• Structured way of working and a "hands‑on mentality"
• Strong communication skills within a multicultural environment
• A project-related willingness to travel internationally
• Fluent in English, written and spoken
