A sustainable technology company is seeking a Sales Associate for the LATAM region to drive sales growth and maintain distributor relationships. The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's degree and 2-3 years of commercial sales experience, preferably in the plastics or chemicals sector. Responsibilities include generating leads, presenting sustainable solutions, and coordinating product distribution. Advanced English proficiency is essential, with Portuguese as a plus. The role involves travel across Latin America and offers a hybrid work environment.

Summary

The Sales Associate, LATAM is responsible for driving sales growth, building and maintaining strong distributor relationships, and ensuring customer satisfaction across Latin America. This dynamic role combines business development with account management, requiring both technical understanding and exceptional communication skills to expand Okeanos' sustainable solutions throughout the region.

Responsibilities:
  • Generate leads, prospect, and cultivate professional relationships with new customers in the region.
  • Present and promote Okeanos' innovative sustainable solutions to potential clients, demonstrating their environmental and business benefits.
  • Support presales activities and establish tailored sales strategies to meet the unique needs of the Latin American market.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for distributors, building strong partnerships that drive mutual success.
  • Facilitate regular communication, sharing product updates, promotions, and relevant information to keep partners engaged and informed.
  • Ensure timely coordination of product distribution and deliveries, maintaining customer satisfaction throughout the process.
  • Address and resolve any customer or distributor concerns promptly, turning challenges into opportunities for deeper relationships.
  • Work cross-functionally with operations, marketing, and technical teams to enhance the customer experience and drive continuous improvement.
  • Provide valuable insights from the market to support product development and strategy, helping shape Okeanos' future innovations.
Job Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering, Business Administration, or related field.
  • 2-3 years of experience in commercial sales within the plastics, chemicals, or related sector; or recent graduates with a technical background and strong interest in sales.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills that enable you to build lasting business relationships.
  • Strong problem-solving abilities and proactive sales mindset to identify and capitalize on new opportunities.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a hybrid environment, managing your time effectively.
  • Willingness to travel as required to meet clients and attend industry events across Latin America.
Technical skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite for effective business communications and reporting.
  • Familiarity with CRM systems (preferred) to track and nurture customer relationships.
  • Project management skills to coordinate complex sales initiatives from prospect to close.
  • Advanced English proficiency; Portuguese is a strong plus for regional market expansion.
  • Account management and relationship building expertise to foster long-term partnerships.
  • Organizational and planning skills to juggle multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Customer service orientation and empathy to truly understand and address client needs.
  • Strong written and verbal communication abilities that persuade and inspire action.
