Softtek is seeking a senior backend engineer in Mexico to design, develop, and deliver scalable software solutions using Ruby on Rails. You will work on RESTful services, collaborate with cross-functional teams, and participate in code reviews to ensure quality and performance.

The role offers hybrid or remote work options within Mexico and involves mentoring peers, driving delivery, and partnering with product and UX to shape features and architecture.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Design and develop software applications, prototypes, proofs of concept, and client demos.
• Optimize performance and scalability of critical application components.
• Drive end-to-end delivery of high-quality solutions.
• Lead development meetings and technical discussions.
• Partner with Product Management and UX on feature design.
• Coordinate delivery across engineering, Scrum, and cross-functional teams.
• Work with architects to align solutions with long-term strategy.
• Mentor engineers and provide code review feedback.
• Perform design and code reviews.
• Write and maintain unit and integration tests.
• Build deep expertise in the Awards Management domain and code base.
