Job summary

Placements24 is seeking a highly diligent Resident Construction Engineer for on-site leadership of large-scale Hermosillo projects. You will supervise construction activities, enforce design specs, safety, and quality standards, and coordinate multiple teams to keep work on track.

You will liaise with project managers, designers, and clients, producing daily reports and solving site challenges to ensure successful delivery.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or a closely related field.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience as a Resident Engineer or Site Supervisor on significant construction projects.
• Proven experience overseeing complex construction operations on-site.
• Strong understanding of construction methodologies, materials, and quality control procedures.
• Knowledge of relevant building codes, safety regulations, and environmental compliance.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and technical specifications.
• Experience working in the Hermosillo, Sonora area is preferred.
• Proficiency in construction management software is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Oversee and manage all on-site construction activities for large-scale projects.
• Ensure that construction work strictly adheres to approved plans, specifications, and quality standards.
• Monitor and enforce all safety regulations and implement site-specific safety plans.
• Coordinate the activities of subcontractors, suppliers, and direct labor forces.
• Conduct regular inspections of work in progress and completed elements.
• Manage site logistics, including material delivery, storage, and equipment deployment.
• Liaise with project managers, designers, and clients regarding site progress and issues.
• Maintain daily site reports, documenting progress, resources used, and any incidents or challenges.
• Ensure efficient use of project resources and timely resolution of site-related problems.
