Job summary

LawRank is seeking an experienced mid-level WordPress Developer to independently develop and maintain WordPress sites with custom functionality. You will build themes/plugins, optimize for speed/SEO, and ensure accessibility across projects.

Requirements include 3+ years of web development with 1–2 years in WordPress, proficiency in PHP, HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript and SASS, plus experience with ACF Pro, Gravity Forms, Yoast, CPT and Git.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of web development experience with at least 1–2 years on WordPress.
• Proficiency in PHP, HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, and SASS.
• Experience with ACF Pro, Gravity Forms, Yoast, and CPT.
• Familiarity with WordPress core functions and architecture.
• Experience with Git/version control workflows and debugging.
• Strong problem-solving and mentoring abilities.
• Clear, effective communication across teams.

Responsibilities

• Build and customize WordPress themes and plugins from scratch.
• Convert designs into responsive, pixel-perfect sites.
• Develop dynamic functionality using PHP and JavaScript.
• Optimize performance, SEO, and accessibility.
• Ensure mobile responsiveness and cross-browser compatibility.
• Review code and mentor junior developers.
• Integrate with APIs and third‑party tools.
• Manage deployments and hosting issues (WP Engine, etc.).
• Maintain and improve existing sites per client/SEO needs.
• Collaborate with designers, PMs, and SEO specialists.
