Job summary

BairesDev is seeking a Senior Data Reliability Engineer to build a new data quality layer, implementing freshness, volume, and schema checks across pipelines, and to establish guardrails around critical reference and pricing data. You will also work on reconciliation between source feeds and Gold-layer tables to strengthen reliability across our data platform.

The role emphasizes hands-on data quality frameworks, observability tooling, and Datadog, with strong SQL skills and advanced English.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in data engineering or data reliability engineering.
• Strong experience implementing data quality frameworks.
• Experience with data observability tooling.
• Hands-on experience with Datadog.
• Strong SQL skills.
• Advanced proficiency in English.

Responsibilities

• Implement data quality checks for freshness, volume, and schema across pipelines.
• Build reconciliation processes between source feeds and Gold-layer tables.
• Wire alerting into existing observability tooling to catch issues before they escalate.
• Define and support recovery objectives for prioritized, business-critical datasets.
