Kronia Technologies Inc. is seeking a Senior Software Engineer – Backend Services to design, build, and maintain scalable serverless backend systems in a collaborative, multi-disciplinary environment.

You will focus on AWS Lambda, API Gateway, and DynamoDB to deliver reliable enterprise services. The role requires strong Java (or Python/Node.js) skills, experience with microservices and CI/CD, and a commitment to secure software development.

Formación

• 5+ years of backend software development.
• Strong proficiency with Java (preferred) or Python/Node.js.
• Hands-on experience with AWS Lambda, API Gateway, and DynamoDB.
• Strong understanding of serverless architectures, event-driven systems, and microservices design patterns.
• Experience with AWS services such as SNS, Step Functions, and WebSocket APIs.
• Experience implementing Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using AWS SAM or similar technologies.
• Strong experience with Git, GitHub Actions, and CI/CD pipelines.
• Experience designing scalable REST APIs and distributed backend systems.
• Familiarity with application security practices, vulnerability remediation, and security scanning tools.

Responsabilidades

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable backend services using AWS Lambda and serverless technologies.
• Build and enhance RESTful APIs and event‑driven microservices that support enterprise applications.
• Design solutions using serverless architecture principles with a focus on scalability, performance, and cost optimization.
• Collaborate with frontend engineers and cross‑functional teams to integrate backend services into production applications.
• Optimize existing services to improve application performance, reliability, and operational efficiency.
• Implement and maintain CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Actions and modern DevOps practices.
• Troubleshoot and resolve complex issues in production environments.
• Support the ongoing maintenance, patching, and security remediation of production applications.
• Identify, assess, and remediate security vulnerabilities identified through automated scanning tools and security assessments.
• Maintain dependencies and support application deployments through established development, testing, and production release processes.
• Contribute to technical documentation, architecture improvements, and engineering best practices.
• Promote code quality, knowledge sharing, and continuous improvement across the engineering team.
