Job summary

BairesDev is hiring a Backend Engineer (Node) to design and build scalable REST and GraphQL APIs, using Node.js and TypeScript, in a fully remote role. You will work with PostgreSQL or MongoDB, and deploy services on AWS Lambda or ECS, while writing strong unit tests and collaborating with cross-functional teams.

Ideal candidates have 4+ years in backend engineering, strong API design skills, and English proficiency to collaborate in a global, multicultural environment.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of Backend Engineering or related field.
• Proven expertise in building scalable APIs with Node.js and TypeScript.
• Design and implement REST or GraphQL APIs with asynchronous patterns.
• Hands-on experience with PostgreSQL or MongoDB.
• Experience deploying on AWS (Lambda or ECS).
• Advanced proficiency in English.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop scalable REST and GraphQL APIs using Node.js and TypeScript.
• Build and optimize event-driven services and asynchronous processing patterns.
• Manage and interact with PostgreSQL or MongoDB databases for data integrity and performance.
• Deploy and maintain cloud-based services using AWS Lambda or ECS.
• Write unit and integration tests using Jest or Vitest to ensure code quality.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define architecture and technical specs.
