Go Lean Health is seeking a Medical Virtual Assistant (MVA) to support a busy chiropractic clinic remotely. The ideal candidate is sharp, proactive, and detail-oriented, with strong English and ownership of clinic workflows.

This role focuses on insurance verification, billing tasks, and operational support, requiring independence and high accountability. Remote setup and a 30-hour workweek with a pay rate of $5–$6.50 per hour, plus a performance-based increase after 6 months, are offered.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 1 year of experience as a Medical Virtual Assistant.
• Experience supporting a US healthcare practice.
• Experience with insurance verification, EOBs, claims, denied claims, patient balances, or billing support.
• Exposure to CPT and ICD-10 codes.
• Strong English communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Must be a Mac OS user.
• Excellent attention to detail and follow-through.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Proven leadership, ownership, or high-accountability experience in a previous role.

Responsibilities

• Verify patient insurance after check-in and document details.
• Review denied claims, identify denial reasons, and assist with reprocessing.
• Review and process Explanation of Benefits documents and clear backlogs.
• Review outstanding balances and coordinate next steps for resolution.
• Support claims-related workflows (e.g., Cigna and VA) and escalate as needed.
• Assist with vendor payment coordination and ensure timely payments.
• Monitor SOAP note completion and accuracy; flag issues.
• Track missed and canceled appointments and analyze trends.
• Prepare reports on balances, missed/canceled appointments, EOB backlog, and denials with insights.
