Job summary

Buckland is seeking a Customs Compliance Specialist - Classification to join our team offering remote work and a collaborative environment. You will classify goods under HTS and ECCN, handle rulings, and support complex compliance projects for major clients.

The role requires 2+ years of HTS/ECCN experience, a business-related degree, and strong MS Office skills. Knowledge of customs processes and attention to detail are essential to succeed in a fast-paced setting.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of HTS/ECCN classification experience.
• US Customs broker's license and/or CCS designation preferred but not required.
• CES (Certified Export Specialist) preferred but not required.
• MS Office knowledge including Excel, Word, PowerPoint and Access.
• Excellent problem solving and decision-making skills.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Complete HTS and ECCN tariff classification determinations, reviews, and opinions.
• Submit applications for customs rulings for complex tariff, origin and valuation opinions.
• Review and maintains database integrity using internal and client provided software; draft processes and create reports.
• Provide broker and client assistance with antidumping and countervailing duty assessment or equivalent.
• Liaise with significant business partners on Customs compliance issues.
• Provide exceptional customer support by addressing inquiries and resolving issues promptly and effectively.
