Job summary

Grupo CreeSer is seeking a Cost and Budget Analyst to join its accounting team. This remote-first role focuses on developing, analyzing, and managing cost accounting systems and budgets to improve efficiency and profitability in manufacturing processes.

You will provide management with accurate financial insights, collaborate with cross-functional teams, and support audits and reporting while working from anywhere in Mexico.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Industrial Engineering, or a related field.
• Minimum of 4 years of cost accounting, financial analysis, or budgeting.
• Experience developing and managing cost accounting systems and budgets.
• Strong understanding of manufacturing processes and cost drivers.
• Advanced Excel and ERP software (SAP, Oracle).
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and quantitative skills.
• Ability to work independently in a remote setting.

Responsibilities

• Develop, implement, and maintain cost accounting systems and standards.
• Analyze manufacturing costs, variances, and cost drivers to identify optimization opportunities.
• Prepare detailed budgets and forecasts, monitor performance against budget, explain variances.
• Develop standard costing models and cost-benefit analyses for projects.
• Collaborate with production and operations to gather cost data and ensure accuracy.
• Assist in monthly financial statements and management reports focusing on cost and profitability.
• Support internal and external audits with cost accounting documentation and analysis.
• Identify and recommend process improvements in cost accounting and reporting.
• Utilize advanced Excel functions and accounting software to manage data.
• Ensure compliance with accounting principles and company policies.
