Job summary

The Original Bitcoin Exchange is seeking an AML Investigator to efficiently adjudicate referrals for timely SAR submissions or close referrals when not suspicious. You will join the AML Investigations Team under the Head of Investigation Team and collaborate with Compliance and Customer Support to address fraud and money laundering risks.

Qualifications

• University education or equivalent preferred.
• Experience in an investigative function.
• Experience using blockchain analytics tools (Chainalysis, TRM, Elliptic).
• AML experience incl. CDD/EDD and SAR/STR reporting.
• Basic knowledge of blockchain technology.
• CAMS/CBP designation preferred.

Responsibilities

• Investigate referrals to determine Bitfinex risk exposure and mitigate by SAR filing or account actions.
• Support Customer Help Desk / Legal Team with investigative needs.
• Communicate with customers, agents, and internal attorneys as needed.
