Job summary

Alignerr is seeking Back End Developers to design, build, and optimize backend systems and APIs powering AI products. This fully remote contract role is open to engineers across Mexico, with a commitment of 10–40 hours per week and flexible scheduling.

You will design scalable server-side architectures, work with data pipelines and model-serving infrastructure, and collaborate with distributed teams to deliver high-performance software.

Qualifications

• Backend languages: Python, Go, Java, Node.js, Rust or similar.
• Strong understanding of RESTful APIs and microservices.
• Experience with relational or NoSQL databases and cloud platforms.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain robust backend services and data pipelines.
• Develop scalable server-side architectures for AI workloads.
• Write clean, testable code with good documentation.
• Integrate with databases, queues, cloud services, and third-party APIs.
• Optimize performance, reliability, and scalability as traffic grows.
• Collaborate asynchronously across distributed teams and time zones.
• Conduct code reviews and contribute to architectural decisions.
• Work independently on task- and project-based assignments.
