UL Solutions, based in Mexico City, seeks a Knowledge Associate to support regulatory analysis of chemicals and materials used in automotive and electronics industries, including batteries, to help customers meet global standards.

You will monitor global requirements, prepare executive summaries, and collaborate with internal teams to deliver tailored research and solutions for materials and compliance. This role builds foundational regulatory expertise with a sustainability focus.

Formación

  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • 1-2 years of related experience in chemical regulatory affairs, product stewardship, automotive or electronics compliance, or regulatory research.
  • Strong knowledge of chemicals and materials compliance (CLP, REACH, TSCA, Prop 65, PFAS, BPR).
  • Familiarity with automotive and electronics regulations (RoHS, ELV, WEEE, Battery Regulation).
  • Excellent analytical and research skills.
  • Proficiency in English (mandatory).
  • Additional languages are considered a plus.
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, International Relations, or related field is a plus.

Responsabilidades

  • Provide comprehensive and research reports based on the required regulatory information.
  • Provide point-of-access support to address any local acceptance issues under supervision and guidance.
  • Coordinate research/studies including multiple products, regulations, countries under supervision and guidance.
  • May act as owner of certain geographic areas or regulations under supervision and guidance.
  • Cooperate with industries and colleagues to support development GMA knowledge services and customized solutions.
  • Supports actions related to GMA business expansion scope, track opportunity and business results.
  • May supervise the day-to-day delivery of high-quality knowledge services under supervision and guidance.
  • Read and follow the Underwriters Laboratories Code of Conduct and follow all physical and digital security practices.
  • Perform other duties as directed.
  • Maintain expertise and provide guidance on: Chemicals and mixtures regulatory requirements, including CLP, REACH, GHS principles, Safety Data Sheets (SDS), and related global or REACH-like frameworks; Electronics and Automotive chemical and sustainability requirements (e.g., RoHS, ELV, Batteries, etc.).
