Amazon is recruiting a Regional Occupational Health Physician to lead clinical and regulatory health operations for sites within the sub-region in Mexico. You will serve as the Sanitary Officer and clinical authority, ensuring compliance with NOMs, COFEPRIS, and health laws while overseeing audits, documentation, and medication governance.

You will mentor OMR staff, coordinate with WHS, PXT, and Legal, and drive preventive health initiatives, surveillance programs, and ergonomics strategies

Qualifikationen

• Medical degree from a Mexican institution recognized by SEP.
• Valid professional license issued by the General Directorate of Professions.
• Specialty or postgraduate training in Occupational Medicine, Epidemiology, or Public Health.
• Minimum 2 years of occupational health experience.
• Willingness to travel 60–80% within Mexico.
• Fluent in English and able to take direction in English.

Aufgaben

• Serve as the designated Sanitary Officer and clinical authority for all sites in the assigned sub-region.
• Ensure regulatory compliance with the General Health Law, COFEPRIS, NOMs, and labor/health laws; audit and safeguard records.
• Provide physician supervision to nursing staff; review return-to-work plans and fitness-for-duty determinations.
• Establish medication governance with COFEPRIS; standardize formularies and audit records.
• Execute occupational surveillance programs and lead vaccination and prevention campaigns.
• Support medical surveillance exams and PPE compliance; protect medical records and confidentiality.
• Mentor OMR team; standardize clinical protocols; ensure emergency equipment readiness.
• Participate in monthly business reviews; collaborate with WHS, PXT, Operations, and Legal; drive health outcomes.
