Fresenius Medical Care seeks an executive to lead the execution of its real estate, facilities, and corporate security strategy across an international region. The role aligns with global objectives while supporting local business priorities and managing a highly outsourced delivery model.

Partnering with Country Managers and regional leaders, you will optimize portfolios, drive site improvements, and ensure regulatory compliance.

• Bachelor’s degree in business, engineering, real estate or related field.

• 12–15+ years international real estate, facilities or corporate security leadership.

This role leads the execution of the company’s real estate, facilities, and corporate security strategy across an assigned international region, ensuring alignment with global objectives while supporting local business priorities. The position oversees the regional real estate portfolio, including transactions, space planning, design and construction, facilities operations, and footprint optimization initiatives such as expansions, consolidations, and site improvements.

Serving as a strategic partner to Country Managers and regional leaders, the role aligns real estate and security solutions with business needs, fosters strong cross-functional collaboration, and acts as the primary escalation point for operational issues, ensuring timely resolution and minimal disruption.

The position manages a highly outsourced delivery model, overseeing brokers, construction project managers, facilities providers, and security vendors. Responsibilities include establishing performance standards, governance processes, and service level agreements to ensure quality, compliance, operational efficiency, and cost control. Continuous monitoring and improvement of vendor performance are critical to achieving business objectives and service excellence.

In addition, the position identifies and mitigates risks related to real estate, facilities, and security operations, ensuring regulatory compliance and operational resilience. Key performance indicators, including cost, service quality, project delivery, and portfolio effectiveness, are tracked and regularly reported to senior leadership to support decision-making and drive continuous improvement.

Finally, the role partners with Global Real Estate and Corporate Security Centers of Excellence to implement corporate standards, governance frameworks, tools, and best practices while providing regional insights that contribute to long-term strategy, operational excellence, and sustainable business growth.

• Bachelor’s degree in business, Engineering, Real Estate, or related field required
• Master’s Degree preferred
• 12–15+ years of experience in international real estate, facilities, and/or corporate security leadership
• Proven experience operating in complex, multi-country environments
• Strong experience managing outsourced delivery models and third-party vendors
• Demonstrated ability to partner with senior business leaders and influence decision-making
• Experience managing multi-asset portfolios (offices, clinics, labs, manufacturing)
• Strong understanding of global regulatory environments and risk management
• Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills
• Ability to navigate ambiguity and drive execution in decentralized environments
