Amazon Reliability Maintenance Engineering – IntlRME is seeking a Regional Automation Engineer to support multiple sites with large-scale automation deployments. You will troubleshoot control systems, develop in-house PLC/PC solutions, and lead international automation initiatives.

Travel up to 30% will be required to support regional sites. The role emphasizes KPI-driven performance, vendor management, and collaboration across global teams to drive reliability and uptime.

Formación

• Experience in automating, deploying, and supporting large-scale infrastructure.
• Experience programming with at least one modern language such as Python, Ruby, Golang, Java, C++, C#, Rust.
• Experience with Linux/Unix.
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines build processes.

Responsabilidades

• Understand and troubleshoot material handling control systems, including PLC/PC controllers, industrial networks, motor control systems, servo drives, frequency drives, and electrical distribution systems.
• Programming and source coding for in-house built solutions based in PLC or PC controllers and SCADA/OEE platforms.
• Lead international innovative solutions related to Automation Systems.
• Project Management of large-scale initiatives coordinating site-based Automation Engineers to meet business goals.
• Apply SME on troubleshooting, investigate root causes, and plan actions to reduce downtime of critical assets.
• Create, optimize and monitor KPIs for machine efficiency, availability and quality, and generate improvement reports.
• Manage vendors to coordinate ticket resolutions for local and network-wide issues.
• Provide technical guidance and decision making for collaboration projects with other Amazon teams.
• Ensure remote troubleshooting capability is available on a rotational system for 24/7/365 support of sites.
