CIMMYT - International Maize and Wheat Improvement Center seeks a Specialist in Regenerative Agriculture and Responsible Sourcing in Mexico. The role focuses on coordinating regenerative agriculture and responsible sourcing projects across Central, Bajío, and Western regions, with strong emphasis on sustainability reporting and farmer inclusion.

Based in Guanajuato or Jalisco, with high regional travel availability.

Formación

• Five+ years coordinating agricultural projects and regenerative agriculture.
• Experience with inclusive financing and contract farming models.
• Understanding of agricultural value chains and sustainability regulations.

Responsabilidades

• Coordinate local execution of regenerative agriculture and sustainability projects.
• Monitor goals/indicators; collect field data ensuring scientific rigor.
• Design strategies to ensure farmer participation and innovative incentives.
• Lead local governance of CIMMYT's project portfolio with the private sector.
• Strengthen relationships across maize, wheat and related value chains.
• Build capacity for agribusiness and SMEs; optimize supply chains.
• Formulate proposals for new initiatives and funding and resource mobilization.
