Responsibilities

TheOpportunity

This role leads Mexico Sensory Panel Operations for Foods & Beverages Categories collaborating closely with Sensory & Consumer Experience Category Scientists and Product Development Team for all type of projects regarding Product, Package or Process Initiatives. Also, collaborating closely with the Global Sensory Operations Teams working towards harmonizing key methods, practices, ways of working and lexicon while ensuring technical excellence and developing forefront sensory capabilities.

YourImpact

As R&D Sensory & Consumer Experience Analyst your functions would consist of:

  • Coordinate, organize, and evaluate daily sensory operations, ensuring smooth execution and high operational standards across multiple panels.
  • Ensure technical excellence in the execution of discrimination and descriptive sensory tests, delivering high-quality reports that drive R&D decisions.
  • Monitor panel performance, identifying opportunities for improvement and implementing strategies to ensure consistency and effectiveness.
  • Collaborate with key stakeholders (R&D, Consumer Insights, and external partners) to ensure operations are aligned with business and innovation goals.
  • Serve as a subject matter expert in sensory operations, connecting sensory data with consumer insights to generate actionable learnings.
  • Represent local operational needs and opportunities within regional and global teams, contributing to continuous improvement and alignment.
  • Lead capability-building initiatives, introducing new methodologies, tools, or processes that enhance sensory science practices.
  • Implement and harmonize sensory methods, practices, and terminology, in alignment with global strategies and in partnership with regional and cross‑functional teams.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in chemistry, Food Chemistry, Biotechnology, Microbiology, or related fields.
  • 6 months to 2 years of experience in Sensory & Consumer Science, with solid knowledge of discrimination, descriptive, and qualitative methods.
  • Advanced English proficiency and the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional and international teams.
  • Strong communication and negotiation skills, with a proactive attitude, adaptability, and openness to change.
