Marelli is seeking a Regional Quality Sr Manager - Electronics to lead quality strategy for Mexico and North America. Based in Aguascalientes, you will drive manufacturing quality, coordinate cross-functional teams, and oversee QMS compliance across multiple sites and programs.

You will manage APQP/PPAP, FMEA, control plans, and risk assessments, aiming to reduce defects and improve customer satisfaction through data-driven improvements and strong leadership.

Formación

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Quality, Manufacturing, Electronics, or related field.
• 10+ years in regional quality leadership in North America automotive sector.
• Experience with Quality Management Systems (ISO 9001, IATF...).
• Strong accountability and ownership.
• Experience with FMEA, control plans, APQP, PPAP, MSA, SPC.
• Experience in customer quality management.
• Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma.
• Data-driven quality performance management.

Responsabilidades

• Regional quality leadership: define and execute quality strategy for Mexico and North America; lead teams across sites and programs; act as senior quality representative.
• Manufacturing quality: ensure robust QC/QA processes; reduce scrap, rework, defects, escapes, and warranty claims; oversee process capability and product release quality.
• Quality management systems and compliance: ensure ISO/IATF compliance; maintain and improve regional QMS; support certifications.
• Product and process quality: involvement in NPI, transfers, changes, and launch readiness; oversee APQP, PPAP, control plans, FMEA, validation plans.
• Continuous improvement and cost of poor quality: lead initiatives to reduce COPQ; drive yield, defect and warranty reductions; analytics-driven improvements.

About the Position:

We are looking for a Regional Quality Sr Manager - Electronics to join the Electronics team, reporting directly to the Quality Director.

This position is based at our office in Aguascalientes.

As the Regional Quality Sr Manager - Electronics at Marelli, you will be responsible for driving quality strategy, compliance, and continuous improvement across North America Operations. Overseeing quality systems, audits, regulatory/customer requirements, manufacturing quality, issue resolution, and performance metrics. It partners with operations, engineering, supply chain, and leadership teams to reduce defects, improve process capability, ensure standardization, and protect customer satisfaction.

Your Responsibilities will be:

Regional Quality Leadership: Define and execute the quality strategy for Mexico and North America in alignment with global electronics division objectives.Lead quality teams across multiple sites and customer programs.Serve as the senior quality representative for regional leadership, customer escalations, and major quality reviews.

Manufacturing Quality: Ensure robust quality control and assurance processes across electronics manufacturing operations. Drive reduction of scrap, rework, defects, escapes, and warranty claims. Oversee process capability, first-pass yield, final inspection, audit readiness, and product release quality. Partner with Operations and Engineering to improve process stability, manufacturability, and product quality. Act as the senior escalation point for customer quality issues across Mexico and North America.

Quality Management Systems and Compliance: Ensure compliance with applicable quality standards, customer requirements, and industry regulations. Maintain and improve Quality Management Systems across the region. Support certifications and compliance requirements.

Product and Process Quality: Ensure quality involvement in new product introduction, product transfers, engineering changes, and launch readiness. Oversee APQP, PPAP, control plans, FMEA, validation plans, risk assessments, and production readiness reviews where applicable. Partner with Engineering and Program Management to identify and mitigate quality risks before production release. Ensure robust change management and quality gate processes.

Continuous Improvement and Cost of Poor Quality: Lead initiatives to reduce cost of poor quality across the region.Identify trends and systemic issues using quality data analytics.Drive improvement projects focused on yield, defect reduction, warranty reduction, process capability, and customer satisfaction.

What Qualifications you will bring:

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Quality, Manufacturing, Electronics, Industrial Engineering, or a related technical field.
• 10+ years on strategic quality leadership positions across North America regional, in the automotive industry.
• Experience with Quality Management Systems (ISO 9001, IATF, ...).
• Strong accountability and ownership.
• Experience with FMEA, control plans, APQP, PPAP, MSA, SPC
• Experience in customer quality management
• Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma
• Data-driven quality performance management

Other skills that we would welcome:

• Electronics manufacturing quality experience.
• ESD, IPC, RoHS, REACH, and electronics compliance knowledge
• Six Sigma Green Belt, Black Belt, or Master Black Belt.
• Lead Auditor certification for ISO 9001, IATF 16949, ISO 13485, AS9100, or relevant standards.

• Establishing a clear regional quality strategy and governance model.
• Completing a baseline assessment of all sites, suppliers, and customer quality risks.
• Improving key quality KPIs such as customer PPM, internal defects, and cost of poor quality.
• Strengthening customer confidence and reducing escalations.
• Standardizing corrective action, audit, and quality reporting processes..
• Launching high-impact continuous improvement projects.
