• Schedule Internal In-Process Quality Audits.
• Document non-conformances and ensure corrective actions.
• Verify only approved products are shipped.
• Provide quick disposition for discrepant products.

Overview

The Quality Engineer is responsible for setting up and improving the quality in process and ensure customer requirements are accomplish.

Responsibilities

• Support in new product introductions: FMEA's, Process control plan, Procedures for traceability system, Failures and defects codes, Final Test procedure, Reverse PFMEA.
• Coordinate efforts with the In-Process Auditors team and the In-Process Auditor team Supervisors.
• Follow up and improve quality to achieve goals (DPMO, Jidoka, Reparation Scrap IPMs and PPMs).
• Report and follow up issues with defective material.
• Get involved in internal and external audits.
• Coordinate problem solving meetings to improve process quality.
• Along with the Quality Supervisors, responsible to schedule Internal In-Process Quality Audits.
• Ensure, along with the Quality Supervisors, that non-conformances identified during the audits are properly documented and the process owners initiate corrective actions.
• Follow up, along with the Quality Supervisors, to all corrective actions to ensure they were effective to eliminate the cause of the non-conformances.
• Participate in the daily Lot Release process to verify that only product approved by Quality is shipped to Customers.
• Ensure prompt disposition is provided when a discrepant product is identified in the process.
