Job summary

ITJ is seeking an experienced Python Engineer (ML/AI) to transform scientific and algorithmic work into production-grade software. You will collaborate with algorithm development, bioinformatics, data science, and engineering teams to deploy robust systems that scale.

The role focuses on building scalable data pipelines, implementing MLOps practices, and optimizing models for accuracy, latency, and cost. You will contribute to secure, well-documented solutions in an agile environment.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of relevant software engineering experience.
• Strong hands-on experience designing, developing, testing, and maintaining production-quality software using Python.
• Experience developing applications or data-processing systems in AWS, including cloud-native or serverless technologies such as Lambda.
• Experience taking algorithms, scientific prototypes, or analytical workflows and converting them into reliable production software.
• Strong machine-learning lifecycle understanding, including training, evaluation, deployment, and monitoring.

Responsibilities

• Develop, enhance, and maintain high-quality software applications using Python.
• Collaborate with algorithm, bioinformatics, and data science teams to turn research into production-ready solutions.
• Contribute to initiatives involving AI/ML technologies.
• Support the full ML lifecycle: experimentation, deployment, monitoring, and maintenance.
• Build and maintain data pipelines ensuring data quality and traceability.
• Implement ML engineering and MLOps practices, including versioning, testing, CI/CD, deployment, and reproducibility.
• Design and implement scalable, secure cloud-based solutions in AWS.
• Troubleshoot complex issues across applications, pipelines, models, and cloud infrastructure.
