SKIDATA Inc. in Monterrey, Mexico, is seeking a Purchasing Specialist to ensure timely purchasing and order processing within the supply chain. You will manage material requirements with suppliers to confirm capacities and achieve delivery targets.

The role requires 3–5 years of purchasing/order processing experience, strong Excel skills, and the ability to communicate with internal and external customers to manage order workflows.

  • Solid experience with purchasing processes.
  • Strong experience maintaining relationships with vendors and distributors.
  • Good understanding of supply chain procedures.
  • Advanced knowledge of MS Excel (preferred).
  • Solid organizational skills.
  • Ability to communicate with internal and external customers to manage order processing workflow.
  • Demonstrate ability to work with all staff levels.
  • Minimum 3–5 years of order processing or purchasing experience; degree/experience in manufacturing preferred.

Responsabilidades

  • Process Purchase Orders using company ERP system (AX 2012).
  • Monitor stock levels and identify purchasing needs through Material Planner.
  • Follow up with suppliers to confirm or change orders.
  • Update internal databases with order details (delivery dates, pricing updates, discounts).
  • Track orders and ensure timely delivery.
  • Liaise with warehouse staff to ensure products arrive in good condition.
  • Assist with 3-way matching and approval of material invoices.
  • Proactively provide cost saving and process improvement suggestions.

Position Summary

In this role you will ensure timely purchase and order processing within supply chain. You will manage material requirements through interactions with suppliers to ensure capacities are confirmed and delivery targets are achieved and maintained.


Essential Duties and Responsibilities


  • Process Purchase Orders using company ERP system (AX 2012).

  • Monitor stock levels and identify purchasing needs through company Material Planner.

  • Follow up with suppliers, as needed, to confirm or change orders.

  • Update internal databases with order details (confirmed delivery dates, pricing updates, discounts, etc.)

  • Tracking orders and ensuring timely delivery.

  • Liaise with warehouse staff to ensure all products arrive in good condition.

  • Assist with “3-way matching” and approval of material invoices from vendors.

  • Proactively provide suggestions for cost saving and process improvement possibilities.


To be considered for this role, you should have


  • Solid experience and strong technical understanding of Purchasing Process.

  • Strong experience with maintaining relationships with vendors and distributors.

  • Good understanding of Supply Chain procedures.

  • Advanced knowledge of MS Excel (preferred).

  • Solid organizational skills

  • Ability to effectively communicate with internal and external customers to manage order processing workflow.

  • Demonstrate ability to work well with all levels of staff.

  • High school diploma or higher educational degree (Associates or BA/BS etc.) in Supply Chain or Business or related field.

  • A minimum of 3-5 years of order processing, purchasing experience and/or an equivalent combination of education and experience required preferably in manufacturing industry.
