Job summary

Sanmina Corporation is seeking a Punching Operator to join our manufacturing team. You will receive raw metal sheets and process them according to drawings and plans, perform level-appropriate operations, and ensure quality at each stage.

You will maintain records, meet 5S and safety requirements, and progress through levels as you gain skills, potentially leading the line. This role requires attention to detail and adherence to production schedules in a fast-paced EMS environment.

Responsibilities

• Receives raw metal sheets and processes them following the drawings and plans provided by the supervisor.
• Keeps records of all processes in the established formats.
• Checks and inspects incoming and finished parts for quality and polishes edges when needed.
• Maintains 5S and safety requirements for the entire area and ensures security rules are followed.

Punching Operator 1 Punching Operator:- Receives raw metal sheets and processes them following the authorized drawings and plans provided by the supervisor. Works according to production plans and inspection times. Knows about the overall functioning of the machine but is not able to repair or maintain it. Keeps records of all processes in the established formats. Checks and inspects incoming and finished parts in terms of quality and polishes the edges when needed. Is responsible for meeting cleaning and 5´s requirements for the entire area, including machines. Has to be aware of the security risk within the area and meet all security requirements before starts working. Level 1 does simple operations such as cuts. Level 2 is able to do more complicated activities such as inlays and bridges. Level 3 can do any operation including extrusion, countersinking and the laser machine. Level 4. Sets up, checks, calibrates and does preventive maintenance and adjustments in any punching machine. Knows all the necessary tools for all types of punching and sequences. Interprets guidelines and designs for the development of each piece. Also functions as the team leader. May require additional certification/education/training at this level.
