Sensata is seeking a Commodity Specialist to drive sourcing excellence and cost reduction across global commodities. This indirect procurement role offers high visibility and growth potential with key stakeholders at the highest levels.

The role emphasizes collaboration across Planning, Engineering, Quality, Programs, Finance, Legal and Manufacturing to deliver corporate-aligned procurement objectives and continuous improvement in procurement practices.

Formación

• Bachelor's degree required or equivalent experience.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with multiple tasks.
• Excellent oral, written and presentation communication., Strong organizational skills.

Responsabilidades

• Collaborate with functional areas to populate sourcing events and define event structure, supplier pool, selection criteria and outcomes.
• Participate cross-functionally with Planning, Engineering, Quality, Programs, Finance, Legal and Manufacturing.
• Develop procurement function towards best practices and deliver aligned objectives.
• Contribute to supplier risk assessments, risk management and disaster recovery planning.

The Commodity Specialist will be responsible for sourcing excellence and cost reduction opportunities with a strategic mindset and approach. They will have high visibility and growth potential In-Direct Procurement role working on global commodities with key stakeholders including those at the highest levels in the company.

General Responsibilities

• Key participant in collaboration with functional areas to populate sourcing events, making decisions on sourcing event structure, supplier pool, selection criteria and event outcome criteria
• Key participant in activities as required cross-functionally, including Planning, Engineering, Quality, Programs, Finance, Legal and Manufacturing
• Responsible for the continuous development of the Procurement function towards the best practices
• Delivers corporate aligned procurement objectives supporting total company strategic vision
• Key participant in supplier risk assessments, risk management and disaster recovery planning

Experience / Qualifications

• A university degree required (i.e. Bachelors degree) or equivalent relevant work experience.
• Must be a team player able to work in a fast-paced environment with demonstrated ability to handle multiple competing tasks and demands
• Strong communication skills; oral, written and presentation
• Strong organization, planning and time management skills to achieve results
• Strong personal and professional ethical values and integrity
• Holds self-accountable to achieving goals and standards
• Proficient in Microsoft Office programs (Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, and Excel)
• Strong interpersonal & collaboration skills to work effectively with all levels of the organization including suppliers and/or external customers
