The Process Excellence Coordinator is primarily focused on optimizing, standardizing, and enhancing the efficiency of the entire financial planning and forecasting process. It’s a role that bridges finance expertise with process improvement methodologies (like Lean Six Sigma or Continuous Improvement).
Process Optimization & Standardization: Identifying bottlenecks, inefficiencies, and non‑value‑added activities within the existing financial planning processes (e.g., Annual Operating Plan/Budgeting, Monthly/Quarterly Forecasting, Strategic Planning). The goal is to design and implement streamlined, best‑in‑class processes globally or regionally.
Driving Automation & Digitalization: Working closely with Finance, IT and Process Automation teams to leverage technology, such as Advanced Analytics, AI‑based planning tools (like SAP, Hyperion, Power BI, or Celonis), and robotics (RPA) to automate repetitive tasks and improve data accuracy and speed.
Data Governance & Quality: Ensuring the financial planning process is underpinned by accurate, consistent, and standardized data. This involves establishing robust data validation and governance frameworks to maintain data integrity across systems.
Change Management & Capability Building: Training and coaching financial analysts and planners on new, standardized processes and tools. The Coordinator acts as a change agent to ensure the adoption of new ways of working and to promote a culture of continuous improvement within the Finance function.
Project Management: Leading or supporting process excellence initiatives within Financial Planning, tracking Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) like forecast accuracy and process cycle time, and ensuring projects deliver measurable financial benefits (e.g., time savings, cost reduction).
If this is an opportunity that interests you, we encourage you to apply even if you do not meet 100% of the requirements.
