Responsibilities

The Process Excellence Coordinator is primarily focused on optimizing, standardizing, and enhancing the efficiency of the entire financial planning and forecasting process. It’s a role that bridges finance expertise with process improvement methodologies (like Lean Six Sigma or Continuous Improvement).

Process Optimization & Standardization: Identifying bottlenecks, inefficiencies, and non‑value‑added activities within the existing financial planning processes (e.g., Annual Operating Plan/Budgeting, Monthly/Quarterly Forecasting, Strategic Planning). The goal is to design and implement streamlined, best‑in‑class processes globally or regionally.

Driving Automation & Digitalization: Working closely with Finance, IT and Process Automation teams to leverage technology, such as Advanced Analytics, AI‑based planning tools (like SAP, Hyperion, Power BI, or Celonis), and robotics (RPA) to automate repetitive tasks and improve data accuracy and speed.

Data Governance & Quality: Ensuring the financial planning process is underpinned by accurate, consistent, and standardized data. This involves establishing robust data validation and governance frameworks to maintain data integrity across systems.

Change Management & Capability Building: Training and coaching financial analysts and planners on new, standardized processes and tools. The Coordinator acts as a change agent to ensure the adoption of new ways of working and to promote a culture of continuous improvement within the Finance function.

Project Management: Leading or supporting process excellence initiatives within Financial Planning, tracking Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) like forecast accuracy and process cycle time, and ensuring projects deliver measurable financial benefits (e.g., time savings, cost reduction).

Qualifications
  1. Education: Bachelor's degree required in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Industrial Engineering, Business Administration, or a related field. Experience: Minimum of 3‑5 years of experience in Process Improvement, Financial Planning & Analysis or a dedicated Finance Process Improvement. Experience in the Consumer Goods or a similarly fast‑paced industry is highly valued. Certifications: Certification in a formal process improvement methodology: Lean Six Sigma (Green Belt or Black Belt), PMP (Project Management Professional) is highly desirable.
  2. Core Financial and Analytical Skills: Deep Financial Acumen: Strong understanding of core Financial Planning concepts, including Annual Operating Planning, Forecasting, P&L management and drivers. Data Analysis & Modeling: Exceptional ability to work with large, complex data sets. This includes identifying trends, performing root cause analysis of variances, and creating financial models for scenario planning.
  3. Process and Methodology Skills: Process Improvement Methodology: Proven, hands‑on experience utilizing methodologies like Lean, Six Sigma, or DMAIC to drive measurable process improvements. Process Mapping & Documentation: Proficiency in mapping out current‑state ("As‑Is") processes, identifying key pain points, and designing streamlined future‑state ("To‑Be") workflows. Project Management: Ability to manage improvement projects from initiation to closure, including defining scope, timeline, stakeholders, and tracking performance against KPIs.
  4. Technical Systems Proficiency: Advanced Microsoft Excel (complex formulas, pivot tables, modeling, macros, Visual Basic), Power Query, Power Apps, Power Point, Power BI / Tableau, Automation tools (e.g., RPA tools, Power Automation), Python, Alteryx, SAP, etc.
