FLSmidth in Monterrey, Mexico, is seeking an experienced Project Manager to plan, execute, and deliver large-scale mining and industrial projects on time and within budget.

You will define scope, manage resources, coordinate with stakeholders and contractors, monitor milestones, and ensure safety and environmental standards are met as part of our MissionZero goals.

Formación

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Project Management, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 5-7 years of experience in project management, preferably within mining, cement, or heavy industrial sectors.
  • PMP certification or equivalent strongly preferred.
  • Solid understanding of project management methodologies (e.g., Agile, Waterfall).
  • Proficiency in project management software (e.g., MS Project, Primavera P6).
  • Excellent leadership, communication, interpersonal, and negotiation skills.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Ability to travel domestically and internationally as required.

Responsabilidades

  • Plan, execute, and finalize projects according to deadlines and within budget, coordinating resources and third-party contractors.
  • Define project scope, goals, and deliverables with senior management and stakeholders.
  • Develop full-scale project plans and communications documents.
  • Communicate project expectations to team members and stakeholders clearly and timely.
  • Liaise with project stakeholders on an ongoing basis.
  • Estimate resources and participants needed to achieve goals.
  • Draft and submit budget proposals and recommend changes.
  • Identify and manage project dependencies and critical path.
  • Plan and schedule timelines and milestones using appropriate tools.
  • Track milestones and deliverables.
  • Develop progress reports, proposals, requirements documents, and presentations.
  • Define project success criteria and disseminate them throughout the life cycle.
  • Conduct post mortems and create recommendations reports.
  • Develop best practices and tools for project execution and management.
  • Manage client expectations and ensure satisfaction throughout the lifecycle.
  • Ensure adherence to safety, quality, and environmental standards.

Job Responsibilities
  • Plan, execute, and finalize projects according to strict deadlines and within budget, including acquiring resources and coordinating the efforts of team members and third-party contractors or consultants.
  • Define project scope, goals, and deliverables that support business goals in collaboration with senior management and stakeholders.
  • Develop full-scale project plans and associated communications documents.
  • Effectively communicate project expectations to team members and stakeholders in a timely and clear fashion.
  • Liaise with project stakeholders on an ongoing basis.
  • Estimate the resources and participants needed to achieve project goals.
  • Draft and submit budget proposals and recommend subsequent budget changes where necessary.
  • Identify and manage project dependencies and critical path.
  • Plan and schedule project timelines and milestones using appropriate tools.
  • Track project milestones and deliverables.
  • Develop and deliver progress reports, proposals, requirements documentation, and presentations.
  • Define project success criteria and disseminate them to involved parties throughout the project life cycle.
  • Conduct project post mortems and create a recommendations report in order to identify successful and unsuccessful project elements.
  • Develop best practices and tools for project execution and management.
  • Manage client expectations and ensure client satisfaction throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Ensure adherence to FLSmidth's safety, quality, and environmental standards.
Job Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Project Management, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 5-7 years of experience in project management, preferably within the mining, cement, or heavy industrial sectors.
  • Proven experience in managing large-scale, complex projects from conception to completion.
  • PMP certification or equivalent strongly preferred.
  • Solid understanding of project management methodologies (e.g., Agile, Waterfall).
  • Proficiency in project management software (e.g., MS Project, Primavera P6).
  • Excellent leadership, communication, interpersonal, and negotiation skills.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
  • Willingness to travel domestically and internationally as required.
  • Experience with financial management and budgeting for projects.
  • Knowledge of health, safety, and environmental regulations relevant to industrial projects.
