Axented is seeking a seasoned Project Manager to lead full-lifecycle delivery of large power EPC projects in Mexico. You will coordinate contracts, scope, schedule, cost, quality, HSE, procurement, construction, commissioning, and client relationships to ensure on-time, profitable delivery.

Requirements include 8+ years in power EPC or major engineering programs, with 3+ years as project manager, fluency in Spanish and English, and experience with PMI/PMBOK, P6, MS Project, Excel, Power BI, and

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Project Management, or related field.

Job Description & Responsibilities

Role mission: Accountable for the full-lifecycle delivery and business results of power EPC projects; coordinate contract, scope, schedule, cost, quality, HSE, procurement, construction, commissioning, and client relationships; ensure on- time and profitable project delivery;Project planning & governance: Organize project initiation, WBS, master schedule, budget, risk, and stakeholder plans; establish meeting, reporting, decision, and change-control mechanisms;Delivery & business control: Coordinate design, procurement, construction, commissioning, and subcontractors; monitor SPI / CPI, cash flow, contractual obligations, claim changes, and major risks; drive corrective actions and resource decisions;Client & team leadership: Maintain CFE / owner and partner relationships, lead major coordination and commercial negotiations, build the project team, and drive acceptance, settlement, claims, handover, and lessons learned;Key performance indicators (KPIs): On-time completion of key contractual milestones; SPI / CPI ≥0.95 in principle; forecast final cost variance ≤5%; zero major safety/quality accidents; receivables and change claims advanced per plan; client satisfaction ≥90%; project gross margin and cash flow meeting approved targets;QualificationsBachelor's degree or above in Engineering, Project Management, or a related field; 8+ years of power EPC / large engineering experience, with at least 3+ years as project manager; independently managed a substation, transmission line, or equally complex project; Professional competencies: Familiar with PMI / PMBOK, EPC contracts, schedule, cost, procurement, risk, change claims, stakeholder and team management; proficient in P6 / MS Project, Excel, Power BI, and ERP / project-control systems;Relevant project experience: 8+ years of project experience; independently led at least one substation / line or large power project from start-up to handover; with cases of contract changes, client negotiation, cash flow, and cross-discipline team leadership; Professional competencies: Ability to govern projects, perform business analysis, manage the master schedule, make risk decisions, handle contract claims, coordinate resources, communicate with client senior management, and manage team performance and crises; Language proficiency: Fluent Spanish; English B2–C1, able to chair commercial / technical meetings and written briefings; Chinese or Chinese-invested-enterprise experience is a key plus factor; Management experience: At least 3+ years as project manager; managed cross-discipline teams, site personnel, and multiple subcontractors; able to decompose objectives, delegate, and manage performance and talent development; Location flexibility: Based in Mexico; accepts dual-location work between Mexico City and project sites, frequent travel, and on-site residency during critical phases.
