Forvia, a sustainable mobility technology leader, is seeking a Program Manufacturing Lead (PML) to own all manufacturing deliverables for a medium complexity program from design validation through SOP + 6 months. You will functionally manage the program’s manufacturing team and ensure manufacturability.

Formación

  • Engineering degree is required.
  • 5+ years of experience in manufacturing for automotive projects.
  • Proven project management experience.
  • English ability to operate in a foreign environment.
  • Experience with welding, assembly and metal processes.

Responsabilidades

  • Ensure manufacturing feasibility by reviewing drawings with core team.
  • Implement production system changes related to product modifications.
  • Develop and validate manufacturing processes including layouts, equipment, utilities, and information flow.
  • Support PPAP activities including testing.
  • Monitor timelines, budgets and KPIs and report monthly.
  • Ensure milestones are met on time.

Your mission, roles and responsibilities

The PML is a member of the central engineering team. Responsible for all manufacturing deliverables for a program of medium complexity—from the design validation phase through SOP + 6 months. Functionally manages the program’s manufacturing team. Ensures manufacturability. Develops and validates the program’s complete production system.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Ensure manufacturing feasibility by reviewing drawings in the early stages of the program with the entire core team.
  • Implement all production system changes related to product modifications (in accordance with Engineering Change Management).
  • Study, develop in detail, monitor, validate, approve, and implement the entire manufacturing process, including, but not limited to: process flowcharts, plant layout, definition of equipment and tools, utilities, and material and information flow analysis, in accordance with Group standards and program objectives.
  • Support Quality and Operations with the Production Part Approval Process (PPAP), including Series Production Testing and Extended Series Production Testing.
  • Review all financial opportunities and risks with the program controller.
  • Manage the tracking of timelines, budgets, and KPIs through monthly reports.
  • Ensure that manufacturing milestones are successfully met on time.
