Job summary

Valeo, a global automotive tech leader, seeks a Productivity Buyer to optimize material productivity and reservoir planning in line with budget targets. The role collaborates with segment teams, supports site negotiations, and drives supplier engagement to improve performance.

You will implement worldwide material standards, build site budgets with the Purchasing Manager, and ensure robust logistics and supplier integration across sites.

Responsibilities

• Define and implement materials productivity and reservoir aligned with budget, with segment collaboration.
• Support commodity organization to reach site negotiation objectives.
• Drive MSC material productivity actions and onboard suppliers in line with budget timing.
• Monitor supplier relationships when assigned the role of Key Account Purchasing at a site.
• Implement PG/PL worldwide materials standards at sites.
• Build site budgets with the site Purchasing Manager in liaison with Segment Leaders.
• Implement mitigation action plans at site level and ensure logistics protocols for bought-out parts.
• Apply V5000 Supplier Integration standards (internal references, certifications, procedures, tools, systems).

Defines and implements technical/re-sourcing/logistics/VPS materials productivities and reservoir in line with budget requirements, in collaboration with the segment organization

Supports the commodity organization (Segment Leaders) to reach the site negotiation objectives

Drives in front of the MSC material productivity actions and brings suppliers in, in line with budget timing

Monitors Supplier Relationship wherever assigned the Role of Key Account Purchasing (KAP) for a given supplier, when not covered by Group Commodity organisation

Implements PG/PL Worldwide materials standards in the site (s)

Build up the site (s) budget together with the site Purchasing manager and in liaison with the Segment Leaders

Implement mitigation action plan at site level

Ensure coverage of logistics protocols for all bought out parts

Strictly apply the V5000 Supplier Integration axis Standards (internal referential, certifications, procedures, purchasing tools, information systems)

• Shared Purchasing index
• Specific Purchasing Index for commodity under his scope for technical/re-sourcing/logistics/VPS levers in his site (s)
• Supplier rationalization indicator
• Productivity Reservoir
• Quality incidents
