Gentherm México, a global leader in automotive thermal management, seeks a Supervisor Procurement Planner to oversee procurement execution aligned with MRP demand, ensuring material availability and on-time supplier delivery. The role requires strong supplier management, SAP/ERP proficiency, and a focus on cost-efficient logistics.

The position supports Mexico plants—Acuña, Celaya, and Monterrey—within a safety‑moced, inclusive environment that values execution and growth.

Formación

• Professional degree required with extensive related experience.
• Experience in the automotive industry preferred.
• Experience dealing with suppliers and cross-functional teams.
• Knowledge of SAP/ERP systems and MRP/MPS processes.
• Lean manufacturing basics recommended.
• Strong communication and office software skills.

Responsabilidades

• Supervise procurement execution per MRP demand to ensure material availability.
• Escalate issues promptly to the procurement manager and inform team of shortages.
• Coordinate with suppliers to ensure on-time delivery and optimize costs.
• Oversee planners with adherence to routing instructions and minimize premium costs.
• Maintain SAP data, load purchasing documents, and support SIOP processes.
• Communicate ramp up/down plans and obtain delivery confirmations from suppliers.

IMPACT and OPPORTUNITY

The main function of Supervisor Procurement Planner is to supervise the execution in accordance with MRP demand and guarantee and ensure material is available with the right stock, right transport mode, right time in order to support production plans.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Supervise the execution of procurement in accordance with MRP demand Ensures raw materials inventories are at agreed targets. Escalates issues in timely manner to procurement manager. Address SAP daily alerts. Inform team members of potential and real shortages of raw materials in advance of incident responsible for expediting coordination from supplier to production line. Supervise Procurement planners send weekly releases that are successfully transmitted to suppliers. Supervise Procurement Planners to Assure suppliers adhere to transportation routing instructions and premium costs are minimized when they occur.

Supervise the execution of Planners to procure in accordance with MRP demand Ensures raw materials inventories are at agreed targets Ensure follow up and final attainment.

Supervise with Procurement planners the follow and execute engineering changes, SOPs and EOPs with master scheduler,

Engineering and Quality Department. Communicate ramp up/down plan to suppliers and obtain delivery confirmations.

Alert master scheduler of any error message on mrp exist in the system.

Confirm Import/Export department readiness for new materials.

Assure new product purchasing documents, SA’s, have been loaded in SAP.

Make sures Procurement planners attend monthly SIOPs, communicate supplier delivery and supply risks provide action plans to mitigate issues.

Accountable for supplier delivery to 100% on time.

Ensures suppliers are held accountable for costs of poor delivery.

Motivate suppliers to recognize GTHM as avaluable customer, to understand GTHM needs and technical interfaces.

Participate in evaluation of suppliers, assure potential contract, supplier capacity and delivery problems are addressed before they impact Gentherm operations.

Assure process PFA approvals in timely manner and charges are communicated to suppliers or customers as applicable. Drive necessary corrective actions to avoid recurring or chronic premium cost issues.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

• Professional Degree. Plus 8 years’ experience in equivalent role
• Experience in automotive industry
• Experience dealing with suppliers.
• SAP /ERP system knowledge
• Lean Manufacturing Basic
• MRP/MPS
• Strong Communication Skills
• Office
