Emerson is seeking a disciplined Production Planner in Mexicali to optimize manufacturing schedules and coordinate with Purchasing to secure materials. The role requires close tracking of work orders from Manufacturing through Packaging, ensuring timely releases and timely re-scheduling when needed.

You will analyze open orders, prepare shortage lists, and negotiate delivery dates to prevent stockouts and ensure on-time delivery.

Formación

  • Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering or International Business.
  • 2+ years in production planning, line balancing, customer service, reporting and graphics.
  • Fluent in English and Spanish.
  • Knowledge of MRP/CRP/MPS and inventory control.
  • MS Office (Excel) and Oracle experience is desirable.

Responsabilidades

  • Analyze work orders, flag issues and coordinate with Purchasing to secure missing materials.
  • Expedite deliveries to keep orders on track and production efficient.
  • Review dispatch lists and track order progress through Manufacturing, Warehouse, and Packaging.
  • Communicate with Master Planning Leader to ensure orders are released on time and rescheduled if needed.
  • Create shortage lists and negotiate delivery dates to prevent stockouts and ensure on-time delivery.
  • Review work orders to correct mistakes and ensure accurate production instructions.

  • Maintains close communication with the Master Planning Leader, seeking their work order listings are clean, preventing a work order from lasting more than four days without being released for production, and negotiating the rescheduling of the orders that exceed that period.
  • You will analyze open orders and collaborate with teams to address potential stockouts. Create detailed shortage lists, negotiate better delivery dates, and follow through to ensure on-time delivery.
  • We take a proactive approach by reviewing work orders and quickly correcting any mistakes. This ensures accurate instructions reach the production floor, keeping things running smoothly.
  • Experience in Machining planning programs (High Volume -High Mix Assemblies)

For this role you will need:
  • A good understanding of the fabrication processes used in the company, including welding, machining, cutting, forming, etc. This knowledge will help you to plan production sequences and resource allocation.
  • Familiarity with material requirements planning (MRP) and inventory control principles is crucial for ensuring timely availability of materials and avoiding stockouts or overstocking.
  • Proficiency in using production scheduling software (e.g., MRP, ERP) to plan, schedule, track production progress, and identify potential bottlenecks, Oracle knowledge is highly desired.
Preferred Qualifications that set you apart:
  • Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering, International Business or related areas.
  • 2+ years of experience in production planning, line balancing, customer service, reporting and graphics and interdisciplinary work.
  • Fluent communication in English and Spanish.
  • Knowledge of MRP / CRP / MPS.
  • Efficient in the use of MS Office (Excel) and desirable experience in Oracle software.
  • An active teammate with a focus on continuous improvement and customer service.
