Job Responsibilities
- Lead efforts to troubleshoot, improve, and optimize existing and new manufacturing control systems and equipment across the production floor.
- Manage the integration of manufacturing equipment into machining lines.
- Perform equipment and process qualifications and validations, including risk assessments.
- Conduct root cause analyses and provide resolutions for equipment issues.
- Manage projects, including capital expenditures, ensuring they are completed on schedule and within budget.
- Handle all functions related to the purchasing, installation, validation, and commissioning of new equipment.
- Ensure compliance of manufacturing equipment and processes, including documentation.
- Document procedures related to manufacturing processes, both new and existing.
Knowledge and Experience
- Proficiency with Siemens Step 7, Siemens 840D, WinCC 2008, WinCC Comfort, and TIA portal V15.1 and above.
- Understanding of HMI Pro, Studio 5000 (desirable), Fanuc Handling Robots, Gantry sequences, CNC programming, and G-code.
- Electrical and electronic design knowledge.
- Experience with networks such as Profibus, Profinet, Ethernet, and AS-i bus.
- Bachelor's degree in engineering or related field.
- Minimum of 5 years' experience in equipment controls or manufacturing.
- Proficiency in PLC programming and troubleshooting (Allen-Bradley/Rockwell, Siemens, Beckhoff, etc.).
- Experience with HMI/SCADA development tools like FactoryTalk.
- Strong communication skills, both written and oral.
- Advanced computer skills, including Microsoft Office Suite and MS Project.
- Knowledge of equipment fabrication and assembly.
- Excellent decision-making, problem-solving, and troubleshooting skills.
- Ability to interpret electrical schematics and mechanical drawings.
- Effective interaction with internal and external customers and vendors.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
- Strong multi-tasking and project prioritization skills.
- Ability to communicate and train across various levels of the organization.
