Resumen

This role leads production teams, drives continuous improvement initiatives, and ensures compliance with company standards, customer requirements, and operational KPIs in a maquiladora manufacturing environment.

Responsabilidades

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Support daily production operations to ensure compliance with production schedules and delivery commitments.
• Supervise and coordinate Sheet Metal manufacturing processes including fabrication, punching, bending, welding, grinding, assembly, and finishing operations.
• Monitor production efficiency, scrap reduction, downtime, labor utilization, and overall operational performance.
• Ensure compliance with safety regulations, environmental standards, and company policies.
• Lead production supervisors, group leaders, and hourly personnel to achieve operational goals.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives focused on productivity, quality, cost reduction, and process optimization.
• Analyze production metrics and implement corrective actions when targets are not achieved.
• Coordinate with Quality, Engineering, Maintenance, Supply Chain, and EHS departments to support manufacturing objectives.
• Ensure proper staffing levels, workforce planning, training, and employee development.
• Support implementation of Lean Manufacturing, 5S, Kaizen, and operational excellence initiatives.
• Monitor inventory accuracy, material flow, and work-in-process (WIP) levels.
• Participate in root cause analysis and corrective actions related to production or quality issues.
• Support new product launches and process validations within the Sheet Metal operation.
• Ensure compliance with ISO standards, customer requirements, and internal manufacturing procedures.
• Promote a positive work environment focused on teamwork, accountability, and employee engagement.

Qualifications

Education

• Bachelor’s Degree in Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or related field preferred.

Experience

• Minimum of 5–7 years of experience in manufacturing operations within a maquiladora environment.
• Minimum of 3 years in a leadership or supervisory role within Sheet Metal manufacturing.
• Experience with fabrication processes, welding operations, assembly, and metal forming preferred.
