A prominent energy company in Villahermosa seeks a Production Allocation & Reporting Engineer to manage and validate production accounting reports. The role involves ensuring accurate production data uploads and maintaining production reports. At Eni, we are looking for a Production Allocation & Reporting Engineer within Eni Mexico, S.de R.L. de C.V. in Villahermosa, Mexico. You will be responsible for validating and verifying production accounting reports generated in the field and ensuring the accurate uploading of this data into the company’s existing databases. This includes maintaining up-to-date crude oil, gas, and water production reports and indicators, in order to deliver accurate and timely daily and consolidated production reports to company management, partner companies, and government entities (third parties).

Main Responsibilities
  • Organise and consolidate production reports and data in line with company requirements (on a daily, weekly, monthly, quarterly, and annual basis) through a defined procedure to ensure accurate and timely delivery to internal and external stakeholders.
  • Validate well‑allocated production data to be submitted to the Reservoir Department.
  • Review and validate production data generated and uploaded into the company’s related databases.
  • Supervise and monitor the correct performance of AVOCET software for production allocation data.
  • Accurately analyse production variances, focusing on continuous production follow‑up, root cause identification, and the production planning process.
  • Control and supervise production allocation systems and reports provided by vendors/contractors.
  • Verify all operational aspects required for the proper functioning of the allocation system, including metering and production data approval, to confirm compliance with established industry standards.
  • Ensure accurate monitoring, recording, and analysis of hydrocarbons and water produced, treated, and exported/injected.
  • Closely follow up on production budgets.
  • Plan production forecasts according to budget specifications.
  • Analyse the impact of planned and unplanned shutdowns on the production budget.
  • Conduct production bottleneck analysis.
  • Develop and monitor downtime reduction strategies, including failure analysis.
  • Monitor production optimisation projects (advanced trends).
  • Maintain and manage internal production databases such as BMS, PDMS, Edam, and Power.
Skills And Experience Required
  • Engineering degree.
  • Minimum of 3 years’ experience in production reporting and monitoring.
  • Previous experience with production allocation systems, preferably Energy Components.
  • Training in oil and gas surface production facilities (preferred).
  • Previous exposure to production planning, allocation, and hydrocarbon accounting roles.
  • Advanced management skills courses.
  • Economics courses.
  • Petroleum engineering course.
  • Familiarity with Bud Risk and Downtime company tools (for monitoring and analysis of production trends).
  • Advanced Excel knowledge.
