Rheem Manufacturing Company in Mexico is seeking a Mechanical/HVAC Engineer to plan, coordinate engineering changes before production release and oversee the maintenance of HVAC products. Responsabilidades

• Plan, coordinate, and check engineering changes prior to production release.

• Assist in start-up of new products and transition to production.
• Coordinate with vendors on components and ensure compliance with standards.

Descripción del empleo

• Plan, coordinate, and check engineering changes prior to supervisory signature release to production.
• Oversee the maintenance and enhancement of existing HVAC products.
• Identify and implement design improvements to increase product efficiency and reliability with engineering principles, agency standards, company standards and customer contract requirements, and related specifications.
• Analyze engineering sketches, specifications and related data and drawings to determine design factors such as size, shape, and arrangement of parts.
• Sketches rough layouts and computes angles, weights, surface areas, dimensions, radii, clearances, tolerances, leverages and location of holes.
• Investigate through theoretical/experimental methodologies and troubleshoot product design related problems and opportunities, document findings and perform corrective/improvement changes.
• Develop evaluation test plans and coordinate with engineering designers and lab test engineers on test set-up, data acquisition, interpretation of data and means for achieving desired test results.
• Write detailed engineering reports with analysis and summary of findings that will be shared with other departments and archived for historical reference.
• Participate in cost improvement initiatives to optimize product cost without compromising quality; working along with other departments and within cross-functional teams.
• Assist in the start-up of new products and support the transition from development to production.
• Coordinate efficiently with vendors on new or existing components.
• Apply physical, chemical, and/or mathematical concepts to solve design related problems, and the creation of new designs.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, HVAC Engineering, or a related field to engineering.
• Minimum of 1 year of experience in HVAC industry.
• No travel Restrictions (occasional travel domestic and/or international may be required).
• Skills and Aptitudes: Strong computer skills (Full Microsoft package, Power BI and Project, Oracle, Solidworks), fluent in English spoken and written, mathematical and logical reasoning skills, great communication skills with different departments and suppliers, strong coordination skills and hands on collaboration,
• Specific knowledge: Ability to read and interpret documents and schematics such as safety rules, diagrams, and procedures.
