Responsibilities
The Opportunity
This role sits within the Global Procurement function and reports to the Procurement Senior Director.
The Director, Procurement – Tech Services will lead PepsiCo’s global procurement strategy for a ~$300MM spend portfolio across Managed Technology Services, Application Maintenance Services, Field Services, and emerging automation solutions. This role is responsible for driving value, operational efficiency, and innovation through strategic supplier management, performance-based commercial models, and integration of technologies such as Generative AI (GenAI) and hyper-automation.
Your Impact
- Develop and execute comprehensive global sourcing and supplier strategies across Tech Services to enhance quality, reduce cost, and improve service delivery for PepsiCo business units.
- Lead procurement efforts for key subcategories, including Managed Technology Services, Application Maintenance Services, Field Services, and automation solutions.
- Partner with Strategy & Transformation and Procurement leadership to define and implement multi-year procurement strategies and supplier execution plans.
- Drive end-to-end sourcing processes including RFPs, RFQs, RFIs, contract negotiations (MSAs, SOWs), and rate benchmarking to optimize supplier engagements.
- Leverage GenAI and hyper-automation to increase procurement productivity, accelerate time to market, reduce total cost of ownership (TCO), and improve quality of service.
- Implement and manage pay-for-performance commercial models that tie supplier compensation to measurable business outcomes.
- Design and negotiate performance-based contracts that incentivize innovation, service excellence, and cost-efficiency.
- Monitor and report financial performance of Tech Services categories, developing annual financial plans and achieving productivity, cash flow, and innovation goals.
- Provide strategic guidance and procurement expertise to support short- and long-term business needs.
- Proactively manage vendor portfolio through spend analysis, supplier consolidation, and preferred supplier programs.
- Ensure compliance with PepsiCo procurement policies, terms and conditions, and risk mitigation frameworks, particularly in performance-based contracts.
- Lead and mentor a team of direct and matrixed Global Procurement associates, providing coaching on category strategies, supplier management, and emerging technologies.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with business partners to ensure effective strategy implementation and resolution of contract or performance issues.
Qualifications
Who Are We Looking For?
- Undergraduate degree in Procurement, Information Technology, Supply Chain Management, Finance, and/or Business required; MS or MBA preferred.
- 12+ years of relevant procurement experience in Procurement and Technology categories, with a focus on Managed Technology Services, Application Maintenance, Field Services, and automation technologies.
- Proven experience in designing, implementing, and managing pay-for-performance commercial models with technology services suppliers, ensuring alignment between supplier compensation and service delivery outcomes.
- Experience with integrating GenAI, hyper automation, or other advanced technologies in vendor solutions that results in reduced cost of ownership, faster time to customer and higher quality of tech services.
- Global mindset and ability to collaborate and operate in a matrix structure.
- Demonstrated track record of accomplishment in negotiating complex contracts, specifically for technology services, and managing supplier relationships.
- Advanced analytical skills with thought leadership to drive strategy development and execution.
- Results-oriented Comfortable with setting stretch targets for self and team.
- Well-developed communication skills; strong alignment skills with the ability to communicate vision and gain alignment with senior management both internally and externally.
