Job summary

Jabil, a global manufacturing partner, seeks a Procurement Specialist to source components for production and prototypes, drive favorable pricing and lead times, and resolve quality issues. The role requires strong data analysis, supplier coordination, and adherence to MRP and master production schedules to maintain material availability and on-time delivery across sites.

This position supports Accounts Payable and contributes to cost-saving initiatives while following safety and security

Qualifications

• Strong understanding of MRP and materials planning in a manufacturing environment.
• Ability to analyze pricing, discounts, and lead times with data-driven decisions.
• Experience coordinating with suppliers and internal teams.

Responsibilities

• Participate in decision making of MPS loading through proper materials sizing.
• Analyze, maintain, and execute Materials Requirement Plan (MRP). Continuously monitor and verify materials pipeline to ensure it meets the MRP requirements.
• Ensure materials availability to support production per the Master Production Schedule through MRP execution, on-time delivery, and coordination of materials movement through receiving to production.
• Proactively eliminate materials liabilities for Jabil by clearly understanding ownership and negotiating terms to reduce liability.
• Issue Purchase Orders to pricing, terms & conditions that are negotiated and agreed to by Jabil Commodity Managers and Buyers.
• Optimize order management process to ensure effective communication with suppliers.
• Maintain integrity of master data and purchasing planning parameters to minimize material liability and balance procurement costs with inventory.
• Monitor and continuously improve supplier delivery and quality performance; address issues using corrective actions.
• Support Accounts Payable in resolving invoice discrepancies.
• Provide inputs to drive and execute Jabil’s commodity and pricing strategy; feedback on supplier performance and strategies.
• Minimize materials freight expenses for Jabil.
• Monitor, track, and provide feedback on suppliers’ performance on delivery, quality, and service.
• Adhere to all safety and health rules and regulations and company security policy.
• May perform other duties as assigned.
