Aptiv is seeking a Process Manufacturing Engineer in Reynosa, Mexico to optimize automated manufacturing and assembly processes. You will program and integrate Epson robots, drive improvements in safety, quality and productivity, and develop specifications for automated equipment.

Ideal candidates have a related engineering degree, hands-on robotics experience, and strong problem-solving skills. Shifts vary and collaboration across multidisciplinary teams is essential to delivering projects on

Role Summary

The Process Manufacturing Engineer supports the development and continuous improvement of manufacturing processes, with a strong focus on automation, robotics, and operational efficiency.

Your Role

Support and optimize automated manufacturing and assembly processes. Program, troubleshoot, and integrate Epson robots within automated cells. Drive continuous improvement initiatives focused on safety, quality, productivity, and cost. Develop and maintain process and operating specifications for automated equipment. Support mechanical and electrical preventive maintenance activities for automated cells. Maintain backups of robot programs, source code, and programmable control devices. Apply structured problem-solving methodologies, including DMAIC and Shainin, to identify root causes and implement corrective actions. Provide technical support during equipment downtime and manufacturing issues. Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams across Production, Maintenance, Engineering, and Quality. Support the development and implementation of production and automation projects.

Your Background

Bachelor’s degree in Electronic, Electromechanical, Electrical, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field. Bilingual, Spanish/English. Knowledge and hands-on experience in programming Epson robots, as well as integrating them into automated assembly cells. Experience in continuous improvement of assembly processes through automation. Knowledge and application of problem-solving and root cause analysis methodologies. Experience developing process and operating specifications for automated cells. Availability to work different shifts, with a strong sense of responsibility and commitment to completing assigned projects on time and according to requirements. Ability to work effectively within multidisciplinary teams. Continuous improvement mindset.
