A leading automotive solutions provider is seeking a Process Engineer (Backend) for their Apodaca Plant. The successful candidate will develop and optimize processes, ensuring compliance with automotive standards. They will need 4+ years of experience in process engineering, especially in automotive electronics, along with skills in selective soldering and conformal coating. Advanced English is required. We are in position to offer a great job opportunity to work as Process Engineer (Backend) based in Apodaca Plant, Apodaca, NL. (E-Systems Division).

As Process Engineer you will be responsible for developing, optimizing, and implementing Surface‑mount processes, ensuring compliance with automotive industry standards and customer requirements.

Your Tasks will be:
  • To support the leaders in the launch of new products, in the design of the production line and processes.
  • Contribute to the reduction of costs and to the production techniques for new products.
  • Review the functions and specifications to determine the construction and operational details, in light of factors such as manufacturing viability, parts interchangeability, ergonomic conditions, inspection, and maintenance.
  • Participate in the installation of the equipment, decide the acceptance of the test machine as required, release in conjunction with Quality, and hand over to production after demonstrating capability with a Run and Rate.
  • Plan and develop the process specification and assembly instructions. Update them based on improvements and needs of the process.
  • Development of methods, tools, and the use of equipment to increase production efficiency and reduce costs.
  • Investigate and solve manufacturing problems associated with the assembly and process of electronic products.
  • For Backend: Cover the technical skills required for the position such as Wave Solder, Radial Placement Equipment, Conformal Coat, etc.
  • Responsible for the creation and updating of the PFMEA in conjunction with the entire multifunctional group such as Maintenance, Quality, Shipping, etc.
To be successful in this role you will need:
  • Education: Industrial, Mechatronics, Electronics Engineering, or any related field.
  • Experience in automotive electronics needed (Backend process).
  • Selective soldering, conformal coating, functional testing, PCB and assembly knowledge.
  • Core Tools, Six Sigma, IPC 610, PFMEA, Process flow, DFM and Problem‑solving knowledge.
  • 4+ years of experience in process engineering areas.
  • Advanced English level.
