Johnson & Johnson MedTech in Ciudad Juárez, Mexico, seeks a Principal Quality Technician to support the Quality Control department with testing, inspections, and documentation in a regulated environment.

The role focuses on non-routine tasks, audits, and CAPAs, coordinating quality improvements across production lines, and maintaining quality system documentation in alignment with regulatory requirements and company policies.

Formación

  • More than 6 years of experience in a related position.
  • Bilingual: English/Spanish
  • Knowledge of QSR / ISO, preferably.
  • Basic computer knowledge: MS Office word processors, data sheets, presentations, data bases, etc. Required.

Responsabilidades

  • Train associates and coworkers in manufacturing processes, systems, and measurement equipment when required.
  • Perform verifications for finished activities in response to non-conformities.
  • Assist with product release activities as needed.
  • Investigate non-conformities, audit observations, CAPAs and related issues.
  • Analyze customer complaints and generate quality metrics reports.
  • Maintain quality records and documentation according to retention schedules.
  • Coordinate quality issues and support quality engineers on production lines.
  • Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental procedures and company guidelines.
  • Communicate business-related issues to management as needed.

We are searching for the best talent for Principal Quality Technician.
Purpose:

Senior support individual contributor that executes tasks that are typically not routine. Organizes administrative, organizational, testing and inspection support for the Quality Control department. Performs Quality Control support and maintenance tasks and participates in developing new testing and inspection procedures. Helps monitor and maintain documentation of quality tests, audits, and inspections in accordance with regulatory and organizational requirements.

You Will Be Responsible For
  • Enabled to train associates and coworkers in areas such as manufacturing processes, systems applications, measuring equipment, customer complaints and others, when required.
  • Performs verifications for finished activities as consequence of non-conformities.
  • May perform product release activities.
  • Aids and executes investigation for non-conformities, audit observations, CAPAs and others.
  • Customer complaint analysis.
  • Performs data collection and analysis, generates and distributes reports for quality metrics, initiatives and/or measurable of the plant.
  • Maintains consumables inventories applicable to the department (stationary, etc.).
  • Maintenance of quality records according to the Records Retention Schedule.
  • Updates and provides information such as quality records of the quality systems of the plant.
  • Can be a database administrator of the department.
  • Participates in the development of quality systems and processes.
  • Aids the quality engineers by providing support to the production lines.
  • Acts as a coordinator when there are quality issues.
  • Provides support to the quality engineers in the maintenance of quality system documents.
  • Complies with Quality procedures, Laws and regulations of the applicable markets.
  • Complies with Company regulations, local, state and federal, as well as with safety and hygiene, health and environment procedures and policies.
  • Responsible for communicating business related issues or opportunities to next management level
  • Responsible for following all Company guidelines related to Health, Safety and Environmental practices as applicable.
  • For those who supervise or manage a staff, responsible for ensuring that subordinates follow all Company guidelines related to Health, Safety and Environmental practices and that all resources needed to do so are available and in good condition, if applicable
  • Responsible for ensuring personal and Company compliance with all Federal, State, local and Company regulations, policies, and procedures
  • Performs other duties assigned as needed
Qualifications / Requirements
EDUCATION:
  • High School Diploma and/or technical career.
  • Desirable, to be close to finish a college career or recently finished.
  • Quality Improvement Associate or Quality Auditor Certification, Process Excellence Certification – Green Belt, preferably.
  • Bilingual: English/Spanish
Experience

More than 6 years of experience in a related position.

  • ASQ Improvement Associate / Quality Auditor certifications, desirable.
