The Database Sustaining Engineering team is seeking a highly skilled software engineer to provide specialized support for the Oracle Server Manageability team. Oracle Server Manageability, part of our Database Server Product Development division, designs and develops advanced manageability features within the Oracle Database kernel to deliver self-tuning and self-diagnostic capabilities. This includes enabling automatic SQL performance optimization, diagnosing complex performance bottlenecks across clustered environments, and building innovative data interfaces to empower DBAs.
In this role, you will join the Sustaining Engineering team with a dedicated focus on collaborating with Oracle Server Manageability engineers. You will use your expertise in software development and deep database knowledge to deliver, maintain, and improve the cutting‑edge self‑managing infrastructure of Oracle Enterprise Database and the Oracle Autonomous Database service.
This senior‑level position requires hands‑on engineering experience with a strong problem‑solving mindset—and a passion for tackling complex challenges related to high‑availability, performance, and scalability.
